Organization: Advocates for Alzheimers Awareness

Description: The purpose of UNI Advocates for Alzheimer's is to work together in supporting the Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter by raising awareness for Alzheimer's disease on campus. The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research with a vision of a world without Alzheimer's disease. Supporting this organization will give UNI students the opportunity to make a positive contribution in both the Cedar Falls community and nationwide. The organization will also be a forum where students can share how Alzheimer's has touched their lives, find support and take action to help fight this devastating disease. Meetings will be held once or twice a month, and service and fundraising opportunities will be announced throughout the year.
