The University of Northern Iowa welcomes groups to visit campus! Designed for groups of 10 or more, group visits can be tailored to accommodate your group's schedule/needs. Typically these groups are for career classes, field trips, community college TRIO groups, etc. If you have a group of ten students or more (6th grade or above), this program is for you! Please fill out the form as accurately as possible and hear from us within three business days regarding your visit via phone or e-mail.

  • 1 hour -- The Campus Preview Session can be customized to fit the needs of various age groups. Older students will hear about admissions requirements and campus life, while younger students will hear about planning for college and major exploration. Also includes a student panel. Chaperones are required in the preview session.
  • 1 hour -- Campus walking tours will be given regardless of weather. Guests are asked to dress appropriately. Campus tours are student led whenever possible, and groups could be split up based on the size of the group. Chaperones are required on the walking tour.
  • 1 hour -- See lunch options below.

Partners include: Financial Aid, TRIO SSS, Academic Programs, and others. Please write any special activities that would benefit your group. While we cannot guarantee all requests, we will do our best to meet your needs. Chaperones are required in the special activity.

Middle school and younger groups: Group will eat lunch in the campus dining center (through the Department of Residence - $8.50/person for lunch)

We ask that you please read and agree to the terms below in order to submit your request:

  • The more notice that the Office of Admissions has to plan your visit, the more likely that events/activities will be possible. We ask for at least three weeks' notice for group visits.
  • Notify the Office of Admissions if you need to cancel, modify, or will be late for your campus visit. We ask for 48 hours notice to cancel your visit (excluding weather related/unavoidable issues.)
  • This form is only a request for the specific date and activities. The date and agenda are not guaranteed until confirmed by the Office of Admissions.
  • Student contact information will be collected to help us accurately record visit numbers, to allow us to continue providing services, and for the purpose of communicating information about University of Northern Iowa programs and services.
  • A signed permission slip has been completed by each student via the school for field trip purposes.
